NBCI has taught me to live a spiritual life
My name is Ramesh Chaudhary. My house is in Gunjnagar, Chanauli, Chitwan. It is a great pleasure to share my life testimony among you. Thank God!
I remember that great moment - I used to live wherever I wanted to go and whatever I wanted to do, doing all those things according to my pleasure. Just as birds fly freely in the sky, I used to walk, dance and play freely on earth according to my own will. But now those days are past for me. Maybe those happy days will never come back for me!
I had an electrical accident almost 7 years ago. I fell to the ground when I was suddenly electrocuted while fixing the wire on the electric pole. I was rushed to the hospital for immediate treatment. The doctors tried their best, but their efforts were futile. Due to the accident, my spine was broken. Due to which both my knees could not move. As treatment was not possible in Nepal, I was taken to reputed hospitals in India. Even there the doctors tried their best. A lot of money was spent during the treatment. Homesteads sold, millions spent, but still no improvement. After giving up, my relatives took me back to Nepal.
Thus I was forced to stay in bed for the rest of my life. The days passed like this with difficulty. Meanwhile, one day I heard the good news about the Lord Jesus. A faint hope arose in my heart that hearing the good news would not cure me. I kept going to different Christian meetings hoping to get physical healing. However, my body did not improve. The strong hope of recovering and walking like before was permeating in my mind. My relatives kept taking me to healing meetings. But it did not heal.
Times are passing like this. One evening I was listening to a local FM radio. The radio was playing a Christian program sponsored by NBCI called “Ashako Kiran” (Ray of Hope). The radio program was broadcasting with an interesting presentation that 'We all human beings are enslaved to sin, therefore we must first be healed from the sinful disease of our hearts'.
Broadcasting on this show was a new thing for me. For a long time I used to run to church hoping for physical healing. But I have not thought so seriously about my soul. I started listening to that radio program regularly, as well as doing Bible studies by correspondence on NBCI. Thus, I listened to the radio program regularly, and continued correspondence. In this process, I got the opportunity to learn many spiritual things of life.
Also study and complete all Bible courses available through NBCI. Yes, I am currently living a disabled life, but I have no complaints about life anymore. I am living a life of peace with the warm presence of Lord Jesus. Paul's life inspires me. He prayed to God many times to get rid of the weakness or pain in his body, but he could not be healed. Paul said in 2 Corinthians 12:9 verse of the New Testament of the Bible - "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will gladly boast in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Yes, I am having the same experience.
Glory be to God! Indeed NBCI has inspired me to live a real spiritual life. Although I am weak in body, God has put full vigor in my heart. Even if the body is not healed, the heart is not sad. But spiritual healing is more important than physical healing. I have been completely healed of my sinful heart disease. This is my intercession with God that it may be done in my life according to God's will. I want to leave today, Thank you!
